Request for Proposal - Maintenance of Cemetery

Notice of Call for Proposals: Cemetery Care & Mowing
The New Lisbon Cemetery Association will accept proposals for the Mowing and Incidental
Care of the New Lisbon City Cemetery until 12:00 Noon Wednesday, April 15, 2026. The scope
of this work includes those specifications shown below. Proposals may be mailed to the New
Lisbon Cemetery Association, c/o John Stastny, Secretary, 115 E. Pearl Street, New Lisbon, WI
53950 and must be received not later than 12:00 Noon April 15, 2026.

Specifications:

1. Mow all areas of the cemetery from the paved portion of Welch Prairie Road
within the side and back fences of the cemetery in a timely manner and complete mowing. and
2. Trim around all headstones, monuments, curbs, fences within the cemetery and any other
permanent cemetery installations.
3. Maintain the cemetery in a neat and orderly condition.
4. Clean-up in Spring and Fall of unsightly debris and rubbish.
5. Filling of settled areas with fill and seeding with grass seed with provided fill dirt and grass
seed.
5. Furnish all equipment and fuels necessary to do a complete job.
6. Mow the entire cemetery every other week unless weather conditions require a more or less
frequent mowing from May 1 to October 31. The cemetery must be mowed to present a best
face for Memorial Day and July 4th. Successful proposer will be solely responsible for
scheduling the work to meet the terms stipulated.
7. Payments for work completed will be made in equal monthly installments on the last day of
each month.

The successful proposal will be from an individual or firm that can demonstrate the ability to
perform the work and will require liability insurance in an amount sufficient to indemnify the
Association and the City of New Lisbon from any liability for the work performed. Workers
Compensation Insurance will be required, if appropriate, covering the individual or firm that may
be selected and a copy of the certificate of insurance(s) must be provided before any work is
commenced.

The proposals will be acted upon at the annual meeting of the New Lisbon Cemetery Association
on April 16, 2026. The Association reserves the right to reject or accept any or all proposals, to
waive informalities of proposals and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the
Association and the New Lisbon Cemetery and will result in a contract between the successful
proposer and the Association.
