CITY OF NEW LISBON – DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS

The City of New Lisbon is accepting applications for a Full-time Laborer/Equipment Operator with the Department of Public Works Street Department.

The ideal candidate will have experience in operating equipment (dump truck, plow truck with wing and salt spreader, end loader, skid steer and others), be able to lift and carry objects in excess of 50 pounds, have a valid Wisconsin CDL or obtain one within three months of hire.

Tasks performed include: Mowing, painting, assisting with bag and brush pickup, storm drain maintenance, snow removal, assisting with water, sewer, and electric operations, and other tasks of a municipal operation. The ideal candidate will have good mechanical ability, and have a good knowledge of equipment maintence.

This position will require occasional after hours call outs and possible work in inclement weather. Knowledge of safety rules and good communication are a must. From time to time you may be needed to assist in other city departments.

Starting wage: Based on qualifications and experience. Excellent benefit package offered.
